The AGM is where we take a breather, reflect on the year we’ve had, and share what’s coming next. We’ll talk about our shows, our finances, our plans, and the values that guide our work. Most importantly, it’s where members get a real say in the direction of the organization.

Role list:
Age Range: 40–70
Warm, gentle, grounded. A solitary woodcarver with a deep capacity for love and imagination. A paternal presence with emotional depth and quiet strength.
Played by: Adult performer comfortable playing a boy
Highly physical role. Curious, impulsive, emotionally open. A newly-made puppet discovering the world through movement first and logic second.
Strong movers encouraged (dance, acrobatics, circus, or physical theatre experience a plus).
Age: Any
Wry, warm, and charismatic. The narrator of the story. Breaks the fourth wall with ease. A strong storyteller with good comic timing and emotional clarity.

Ethereal, calm, authoritative. A grounded, elemental presence. Not whimsical — rooted, steady, and powerful.

Charming, sly, persuasive. A fast-talking con artist with theatrical flair. Strong comedic instincts and verbal agility.

Quiet, observant, physical. Less verbal, more reactive. Strong physical storytelling and expressive movement essential.

Grand, mercurial, unsettling. A charismatic showman with a darker edge. Commands the stage and thrives on spectacle.
The ensemble plays multiple roles throughout the show (spirits, puppets, donkey children, townspeople, sea creature, theatrical machinery).
Ensemble members will also participate in puppeteering, including:
operating puppet elements
embodying creatures and environments
supporting large-scale theatrical transformations
We are seeking strong singers, movers, and collaborative performers who are excited by hands-on stagecraft and shared storytelling. Puppeteering experience is a plus but not required.
Please prepare:
One song (2–3 minutes)
Musical theatre, folk, or storytelling-driven material recommended.
Movement portion
Be prepared to move. This may include guided movement, physical improvisation, simple choreography, or basic puppeteering exploration.
Sides
Script sides will be provided at the audition.
Actors may be asked to sing, move, puppeteer, and read in the same audition.
Pinocchio is staged as folk theatre: imaginative, physical, and ensemble-driven, with visible theatrical mechanics, puppetry, and shared stage storytelling.
Please consider purchasing a membership, members can participate in productions and have a vote in the annual general meeting in the spring. Memberships are 25 dollars annually and will auto-renew until cancelled however if price is a barrier please follow the instructions for a waived fee membership.
